Finding a rewarding career that allows you to balance your professional and personal life can feel impossible—but it doesn’t have to be! When I was considering becoming a sleep consultant, I came across Institute of Pediatric Sleep and Parenting Reviews, and they gave me hope that this path could work for me. Now, as a certified sleep consultant credentialed through IPSP, I can confidently say it provided me with the flexibility and fulfillment I had been searching for.
I was looking for a career that would allow me to continue working with children and families while also having more time for my family and my own three children. I thought back to my early parenting days and thought about what would have made a difference in my life. SLEEP! Overall, new parents struggle with both sleep and support. I knew that’s what I wanted to focus on- supporting new parents, helping families get the sleep they need and the support they deserve. Little did I know that sleep consulting would become a fulfilling rewarding career, and offer the work-life balance I had been looking for.
The Institute of Pediatric Sleep and Parenting: The First Step Toward a Rewarding Career
There are many sleep consultant certification programs but I was looking for one that would support me, and help me so I could support the families I wanted to work with. IPSP offers a well rounded certification program that helped me build a business with the skills and knowledge I needed to help families navigate sleep challenges. Becoming certified through IPSP didn’t just make me a sleep consultant; it gave me a tool kit to begin a new rewarding career.
The training program at IPSP is thorough, and Violet offers support through the entire process. I was able to learn how to create sleep plans for each family, provide evidence-based advice, and create solutions for sleep issues that children faced. I especially like that she is an RN, holds value in what she does and even has a support group for her graduates. For me, getting top of the line training and support, both during and after certification was super important!
A Career that Supports My Family and My Passion
One of the biggest benefits of becoming a sleep consultant is the flexibility it has given me. I can work from home, schedule my hours to fit around family commitments, and still make a meaningful impact in the lives of the families I work with. Becoming a sleep consultant really has given me the balance I had been looking for.
I couldn’t imagine such a flexible, rewarding career like this existed! This opportunity to make my own schedule means I can be present for my family while still having clients and supporting other families.
The Fulfillment of Helping Others Sleep Well
What makes sleep consulting such a rewarding career is the difference I get to make in the lives of the families I work with. Sleep deprivation can take a huge toll on both parents and children, and I love to help families sleep better and overall enjoy their parenting journey.
Helping parents navigate their parenting journey while teaching better sleep habits has been a highlight of my work. Thanks to the knowledge and ongoing support I receive through the Institute of Pediatric Sleep and Parenting, I’ve been able to fulfil my passion for working with children and families into a successful career.
